Popular TV Magnate, Peace Hyde, has featured one of the richest Women in Africa, Wendy Appelbaum, in her latest edition of the Forbes Woman Africa show “Against all odds with Peace Hyde”.
Wendy Appelbaum is the daughter of South African Businessman, Donald Gordon. She rose to the top of her corporate career with Liberty investors (an Insurance firm founded by her father) before selling all her shares in the firm to purchase a wine estate with her husband.
Wendy is currently the Deputy-Chairman of Women Investment Portfolio Limited (an investment firm with over $150 million dollars in assets). she is also the Chair of South African Women Golfers Association.
In her interview, Wendy speaks on her childhood and business experiences. She also speaks on sexism, challenges women face in the labour market and how women make better financial decisions than men.
