After the ruling political party (African National Congress) turned their back on Zuma, the long-standing South African President has reportedly announced his resignation plans.
ANC secretary-general, Ace Magashule, disclosed Zuma’s resignation on Tuesday, after the party recalled him earlier.
According to Magashule, Zuma agreed in principle to resign within a time frame of three to six months.
Zuma’s resignation appeal hinges on a corruption scandal prosecution that he has repeatedly avoided due to the immunity accorded to the office of the president. Jacob Zuma is however, yet to declare the resignation publicly.
