Watford 4-1 Chelsea: Conte’s Chelsea Sink To Their Worst Record In 23 Years

All fingers were pointing at Conte when Chelsea sank to their worst record in 23 years on Monday night in their 4-1 away defeat at Watford.
The Italian tactician made the trip to Vicarage Road after he watched his team lose by a three goal margin at home to Bournemouth, and while most Chelsea fans were expecting a quick recovery, he guided the team to a another three goal defeat to an inferior team.
The vibrant and hard working spirit that jeered the Italian to create a new club record in his first season in charge seem to have eluded him as he watched dumbfoundedly on Monday night while his boys equaled Chelsea’s worst record since 1995.
Chelsea recovery plan was unfazed in the 30th minute when Tiemoue Bakayoko received his marching orders after a second booking.
There was brief moment of hope for Chelsea when Eden Hazard cancelled out Troy Deeney’s penalty eight minutes from time, but a series of devastating defensive blunders gave the hornets a chance to severe all hopes of defending the title.
