Asian boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao has announced on Wednesday that he is set to launch his own form of cryptocurrency to enhance his relationship with his fans, while following the standing regulation of virtual currencies.
The Filipino boxing icon is set to follow the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Michael Owen to establish their name in the virtual money world.
The Global Crypto Offering Exchange organization, in which Pacquiao has invested, said it would unveil the “PAC Token” later this year, which would allow fans to buy the boxing star’s merchandise and interact with him via live-streaming.
Confirming the story, Pacquiao said: “It can be a way to be in touch with the fan base and (there are) a lot of things we can do with this cryptocurrency.”
