Tonto Dikeh has been decorated with the Niger-Delta Humanitarian Peace Ambassador Award.

The Nollywood actress received the award at the 2018 edition of the annual Niger-Delta Peace for Development Youth Summit/ Niger Delta Ambassador Awards, which took place at Presidential Hotel in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

Project Director of NDPAA, Chris Odey admits Tonto Dikeh was being honoured for her contributions to the growth of the film industry, which has in turn brought peace to the region and for several charity projects the actress has embarked on through her Tonto Dikeh Foundation. He added that the recipient has also been involved in humanitarian activities to promote social peace and harmony over the years.
Days ago, Tonto Dikeh also emerged as the new ambassador to the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on human trafficking.
