Raheem Sterling Defends His Assault Rifle Tattoo

Manchester City explosive forward, Raheem Sterling went deep into a life-changing stage of his childhood life, as he revealed his reason for having a M16 assault rifle tattoo on his right leg.
The English attacking midfielder became a controversial topic when he posted a picture of himself training with his national team-mates at St George’s Park, with a tattoo of an assault rifle on the winger’s right calf clearly visible.
Sterling’s World Cup hopes nearly suffered a devastating setback when Mrs. Lucy Cope, the woman that founded Mothers Against Guns movement after her son Damian was shot dead outside a club in central London few years ago, said an individual spreading the message of violence should never represent England on any occasion.
Sterling cleared the air on the tattoo controversy with his Instagram post. See the post below:
“When I was 2 my father died from being gunned down to death I made a promise to myself I would never touch a gun in my life time, I shoot with my right foot so it has a deeper meaning.”
