Prince Harry Had Emotional ‘Tearful Parting Phone Call With Ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy’ Before Royal Wedding To Meghan Markle

Newly married Prince Harry reportedly had a tearful phone call with his ex Chelsy Davy before getting married to Meghan Markle.According to media reports, in the days before the wedding Harry, 33, and Chelsy, 32, had a tearful ‘parting’ phone call. The media report claim a source told them: “It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on.The new Duke of Sussex dated Chelsy on and off for seven years from 2004 to 2011 and the jewellery designer was invited to the stunning wedding ceremony at St George’s Chapel on Saturday – but not the evening reception at Frogmore House. “Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding.”The prince and Chelsy remained good friends after their 2011 split with the 33-year-old invited to Prince William and Kate’s wedding the same year. That set tongues wagging the pair were back on but Harry said he was “100% single” amid a flutter of speculation he was interested in Pippa Middleton after she took the headlines for her bum at the ceremony. But Zimbabwean Chelsy has spoke about the media scrutiny their romance suffered. In an interview she said: “It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn’t cope. I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible.”Chelsy appeared uneasy while sat in St George’s Chapel preparing to watch her one-time-beau tie the knot with American actress Meghan Markle. But there is no bad blood between the pair.At the lunchtime reception Chelsy greeted the bride and “was all smiles as she hugged her tightly”, a source said. Harry and Zimbabwean-born Chelsy met when they were both students at boarding school. She even met the Queen at a society wedding and was a guest at Prince Charles 60th 10 years ago, as her relationship with Harry became more serious.Photo Credit: Getty
