American TV star Oprah Winfrey who arrived at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looking serene and relaxed, has revealed how she avoided a classic wedding faux pas and how British designer Stella McCartney saved the day by helping make a dress overnight.
Oprah revealed on social media how she originally planned to wear a beige dress, but changed her mind at the last minute when she thought it would look white in photographs. Luckily, Stella McCartney came to the rescue to help her avoid making a wedding faux pas in front of millions of viewers.
In a video posted on Instagram, she thanked the designer’s team for “working all night long” to make her a new outfit. “Realized Friday morning the beige dress I was planning to wear to Royal ceremony would photograph too “white” for a wedding,” she wrote in the caption.
“Her team did this overnite. Hat is vintage Philip Treacy been in my closet since 2005 with new feathers. OMG was this an extraordinary day!”
