Mother Of ‘Coolest Monkey In The Jungle’ Model Plans To “Take Action” Against H&M

A woman claiming to be the mum of the little boy in the controversial H&M advertsays she is furious about the public backlash. Terry Mango is believed to be the mother of the young black boy, believed to be called Liam, who wore the hoodie bearing the words: “Coolest monkey in the jungle.”In screenshots of what appear to be her Facebook unverified comments widely circulated on social media, she dismissed any racial insensitivity, telling critics to “get over it”. In one post, Terry says: “[I] am the mum and this is one of hundreds of outfits my son has modelled. Stop crying wolf all the time, unnecessary issue here. Get over it.”And in a message to makeup artist Lovette Jallow, who slammed H&M, she adds: “Everyone is entitled to their opinion… I really don’t understand but not because I’m choosing not to, but because that’s not my way of thinking. Sorry.” To add to the confusion, Jallow has since claimed Terry has changed her mind and plans to “take action” against H&M.Photo Credit: Getty
