Court Freezes Ambode's Accounts Over Alleged 9.9bn Fraud

The Lagos State Government has set up a ‘Joint Tactic Squad’ comprising members of all security agencies to boost security around model colleges and schools in the riverine and other vulnerable areas of the state. Briefing journalists after the monthly Security Council meeting chaired by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, the Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, added that the government resolved to fully enforce the state traffic law prohibiting operation of commercial motorcyclists in certain route.

He said, “A tour of all the model colleges has been undertaken and all lapses have been observed. The governor has ordered that the lapses should be taken care of immediately. We now have Joint Tactic Squad, comprising both the police and the military in all model schools. We also talked about the influx of commercial motorcycle operators. The council has resolved to enforce the Lagos State Road Traffic Law prohibiting their operations in certain parts of the state.”
