KOKO’s 2017 Woman Of The Year Shortlist…Mama Africa Singer, Yemi Alade

Subsequent to the announcement of people for KOKO’s 2017 Woman of the Year and the huge interest for the achievement of the shortlisted stars, we chronicle their individual works and how they have been able to use their talent to bring hope and touch people’s lives in their respective countries and across the continent.Though our shortlist features 10 incredible women who strove for excellence in their respective fields in the year 2017. They are only a small group of women that have made a whole lot of positive change on the continent, and every effort channeled into our distinguished list gets us one step closer to unveiling of the ‘Woman of the Year’. Our ‘Woman of the Year’ represents not only their trailblazing efforts but more importantly, embodies the hopes and achievements of millions of extraordinary women who make a difference every day across our nations and continent.One of such individual on our Woman of the Year 2017 shortlist is Yemi Alade.Afropop singer, Yemi Eberechi Alade, was born 13 March 1989 and had a successful 2017. Femi released her Mama Afrique EP and was nominated for the annual African entertainment awards USA (AEAUSA) in four different categories.
