50 Shades of Design Lagos is a fashion event which is in line with the Lagos at 50 celebrations to showcase ‘Lagos Fashion’. The one day event that was held on Sunday 28th of May at the Bar Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, featured 5 designers who displayed 50 creative and cutural pieces. Renowned Nigerian designers such as Lanre Da Silva, Zizi Cardow, Mai Atafo, Ayo Van Elmar, and Modela all told the story of Lagos culture in tune with fashion from the 60s till date. The event also featured a documentary starring some of the icons that has influenced the fashion industry tremendously, such as Princess Abah Folawiyo, Dakova, Phillip Trimnell, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Mr Seye Kehinde, and more.
