Wales playmaker, Gareth Bale rose to a new height internationally today as he scored a hat-trick to become the country’s top goalscorer of all time as Wales steamrolled China 6-0 this afternoon.
The impressive result gave the team’s new coach,Ryan Giggs a prolific start to life as an international manager, while the Real Madrid forward took his international tally to 29 goals. Bale opened the scoring in the second minute of the China Cup opening match.
He added a second in the 21st minute, and sealed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute. Bale’s international hat-trick was also the first by a Wales player since striker Robert Earnshaw’s thriller against Scotland in 2004.
