Denmark 1-1 Australia: Mile Jedinak Score Crucial Penalty As Australia Hold Denmark

Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and Mile Jedinak were on target for their countries as Denmark and Australia shared the spoils at the Samara Arena in their penultimate group stage match of the 2018 FIFA world cup.

Eriksen scored the first goal of the match just 7 minutes after kickoff. The 26-year-old Danish play maker made good use of a sleek through ball by Nicolai Joergensen shortly after kickoff as he swiftly placed the ball beyond the keeper’s reach.

Australia kept pressing for an equalizer and in the 38th minute, they were rewarded with a penalty kick after Yussuf Poulsen handled the ball in the 18-yard. Mile Jedinak rose up to the occasion and he slammed the ball beyond the keepers reach.
The match ended with a 1-1 scoreline as both teams found it hard to penetrate the opponents defense till the match ended.
