British Airways Air Hostess Quit Job To Become A Porn Star

A British Airways air hostess has quit her job to become a porn star – because it’s less stressful. Laura Birbeck, 27, is understood to have worked for the airline for about two years but claimed her jet-set lifestyle ‘left her constantly tired and ill’.She now performs on webcams for Studio 66, a Babestation-style TV channel, where viewers call in to chat to girls and watch live strip shows. In a tweet posted under her model name, Laura Laine, the 27-year-old today said she was happy in her new role, which she says allows her more time to see family and friends. She tweeted: “Honestly, cabin crew life was amazing and such beautiful people work for the airline. Just some people aren’t suited for the job and yes I was so tired and kept getting ill.. but now I’m happy in the industry I love and spending more time with family and friends.” Laura, originally from Worcester, was understood to have spent two years with British Airways and worked for the airline’s mixed fleet crew – where flight attendants work on both long and short haul flights. However, she left her job and made her debut on Studio66 in February this year. At the time she tweeted: “When I was just a webcam model I felt so stress-free, just working at my own pace and living comfortably. As an air hostess I have no time to myself and it’s financially draining. I am so done with this! Back to being a full-time cam model, I think.”A friend of the ex-stewardess, who now lives in west London, said: “She’s very open with what she does and she loves the attention. “She is always posting about it on her social media accounts so it’s not much of a secret. She had a boob job about two years ago and that when she started doing ‘shoots’, I saw her at a friend’s wedding and she started telling us all about it. She always refers to herself as a sex worker.”Just last month, Laura tweeted: “I feel very lucky I have the best and most open-minded family and friends. They have shown me true support. And I am so blessed to have that. Many girls have to keep their lives a secret or feel ashamed that they have this job. Stigma is still an issue in #sexwork.” A spokesperson for BA said: “The individual does not work for British Airways.”Photo Credit: Getty
