Shiite Protest Forces Policemen To Run For Their Lives In Abuja

The hunter became the hunted on Monday morning in Abuja as a league of Shiite youths protesting against the prolonged detention of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, forced policemen at the Federal Secretariat complex to run for their lives.
According to Punch, the youths held their “unfriendly” protest at the secretariat complex, which is just a few metres from the National Assembly and the Presidential Villa.

The violent youths, who were armed with stones, forced a police anti-protest team to run away. They also took over a traffic warden cabin close to the secretariat.
The protesting youths also injured the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of the Federal Secretariat when he asked them to stop harassing vehicle owners.
