You don’t need to break a bank to look good and achieve a perfect-looking skin. There are simple beauty remedies that you can try at home, and easily record the success of each remedy. These remedies vary and act according to skin type, or the kind of effect desired. These remedies are basic combinations of different ingredients that are seen at home. You can try a few and know what works for you.
1. Baking soda mask: Baking soda can be found in most homes as a baking ingredient. They can also be found in stores, or supermarkets and pretty affordable. All you need for this mixture is:
1.Baking soda (2 tablespoons)
2. Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
3.Honey (1 tablespoon)
Mix the ingredients thoroughly till a paste is achieved, then use an applicator to evenly distribute it across the face and leave for about 10 minutes, then rinse off. This mask helps to exfoliate the skin. It can be applied once a week.


2. Egg mask: Eggs are always available in the kitchen. There are a lot of benefits of egg to the skin. The ingredients for this mixture include:
1.Egg yolk (1 egg)
2. Lemon (1 tablespoon)
3. Honey (1 tablespoon)
Add the lemon and honey mixture to the egg yolk and mix thoroughly until a paste is achieved. Apply this to the face gently. This mask helps to improve the elasticity of the skin while the lemon helps to tone the skin. This mixture also shrinks open pores that harbour germs.
3. Coconut-coffee mask: Coconut oil and a coffee blend are not impossible to get at the supermarket. However, the coconut should be whole and not mixed or diluted to achieve the best result. Ingreidients needed for this mixture include:
1.Coconut oil(2 tablespoons)
2.Coffee (2 tablespoons)
3.Honey(1 tablespoon)
Add the blended coffee to the coconut oil and mix till the paste is almost smooth, then pour the honey into the blend and mix thoroughly. Apply this mask to the face, and leave for about 15 minutes, then rinse off. The honey in this mixture helps to fight bacteria, and maintain a healthy skin.
4. Papaya mask: Papaya fruit is a very healthy fruit. It can also be called ‘paw-paw’. Its health benefits are numerous. The ingredients needed for this mixture include:
1.Papaya(small chunks that can be accommodated in a bowl)
2.Milk (2 tablespoons)
3.Honey (1 tablespoon)
Mash up the papaya chunks with a fork till its almost smooth. Add the milk and honey and blend. Apply this mix to the face and leave for about 25 minutes then rinse off. This mask helps to hydrate the skin and improve the skin texture. This can be applied twice a week.
You can try any of these beauty mixtures at home, but always make sure to rinse off with warm water, and apply a moisturizer thereafter.
