Armed Robber Beaten To Death In Kano

 

An armed robber, posing as a staff of an electricity comapny in Kano, KEDCO, has been beaten to death.

 

According to reports, the said man met his waterloo when he and his gang’s robbery plans went south, after trying to gain access into a lady’s room.

 

The men were said to have knocked on her door and asked that she produced her electricity bill, in the process of getting the bill, they proceeded to robbing her of all her valuables.

 

Noting that the men are robbers, the said lady immediately raised an alarm attracting the attention of residents who chased the men down. They eventually caught up with one of the men, whom they beat to death before the police was called and the corpse taken away.

 

DSP Magaji Musa Majia, spokesperson for Kano police command, confirming the news said the young man was killed after being nabbed during a failed robbery operation at Sharada quarters of Kano metropolis.

  • Narrating the incident, Majia said the deceased and another person  who came on a motorbike robbed the lady with a locally made pistol carting away her HP laptop, 2 mobile phones, 2 computer disks and sum of N8000 cash.

 

In his words;

‘’the came as officials from KEDCO demanding for my January bill and when I went inside my room and I was trying to bring out the bill then they came into my bedroom  and asked my daughter and my house maid to lie down, then they asked me to open my smart phone and do bank transfer, from there they gathered my phones, my computer, my ipad and N8000 and as they were going I followed them and screamed thieves, thieves and luckily their motor bike couldn’t start and the neighbours rushed in and apprehended this as his friend fled.”
