7 Nigerian Foods That Helps Reduce Stretch Marks

Stretch marks appear in both, men and women, although it is more often seen in women  especially during pregnancies.Whatever the case may be, stretch marks appear when skin loses its elasticity and tears the fibers. Stretch marks appear mostly due to hormonal alterations and weight-loss.Although there are many ways to fight them, but there isn’t any sure way of making stretch marks disappear completely but they can be managed by having a daily work-out routine and following a healthy diet. These are some Nigeria foods that can help reduce the stretch marks on your body and you should include in your daily meals:

  1. Green vegetable: Foods like spinach, broccoli, lettuce etc. contain a component called lutein that protects the skin, reducing the stretch marks and making your dermis look better.
  2. Beans: Beans contains zinc what avoids the skin to get broken. Eat beans at least once in a week but don’t take so much because it has a high content of glucose.
  3. Dried Nuts: Peanuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds and in general all nuts contain vitamin E and fatty acids that nourish the skin improving its elasticity. Don’t take so much and avoid adding salt on them.
