Fake stories surrounding Nigerian celebrities as well as other famous people in other parts of the world is nothing new-at least not to them. As much as this is to their chagrin, many stars have come to accept this as one of the downsides of being famous and try their best to clarify such reports…
After the last few months opened serial sexual assault cases in the American movie industry, the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Jackie Lacey, has set plans in motion to create a special task force to curb all forms of sexual assault in the industry.
In a press conference on Friday, Jackie said “In response to the widespread allegations of sexual abuse in the entertainment industry, I have established a task force of specially trained deputy district attorneys who are ready to evaluate these cases if any are referred to my office for criminal prosecution.”
She also said “I have assigned the group of veteran sex crimes prosecutors to work together to ensure a uniformed approach to the legal review and possible prosecution of any case that meets both the legal and factual standards for criminal prosecution.”
The Los Angeles police are currently investigating Harvey Weinstein after someone came forward to report his case last-month. He is the only offender with an official complaint against him thus far, as Kevin Spacey and Brett Ratner are yet to have a case levied against them.
