German skincare company, Nivea has responded to Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG who requested a racism advert running all over Africa should be brought down. The ad, for the brand’s lotion, featuring former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Omowunmi Akinnifesi, has as its tagline: “For visibly fairer skin.” In a post on Facebook, Nivea has said hey had no intention “to demean or glorify any person’s needs or preferences in skin care.” Read Nivea’s response below and also Fuse ODG’s counter-reply.
