Get in here fast all KOKOnistas! Would you be rocking this season latest jeans trend? Every season, another fashion brand comes out with a new piece of denim that pushes the limits of what can really be called jeans. But one Japanese designer may have finally taken it to far.
This week a pair of “thong jeans” was debuted at the Amazon Fashion Week in Tokyo, with all material cut away apart from the bare seams.
Showing a Spring/Summer 2018 collection at Amazon Fashion Week in Tokyo this week, the Japanese brand Thibaut debuted a pair of denim pants that hardly even pants at all, with everything but the seams cut away and leaving just a thong-like foundation underneath.
In addition to the barely-there jeans, the model completed the look with a pair of old trainers and a beige bodysuit – classic.
The thong jeans certainly raised eyebrows in the show, but sadly shoppers can’t currently get hold of a pair to show off at upcoming Christmas parties. The ‘edgy’ look is not available to buy, though it may hit stores next year. Now, it’s simply making waves on the internet as a concept that no one asked for.
